Here are just some tips:
For in-between lashes, we often use a needle nozzle for better and more precise results; for eyelid shading and pixelation, we use cartridges.
For in-between lines black, we prefer true molecular level fused hybrids of C+Iron oxide. For shading and pixels, we often use elemental carbon black (thermal) or inorganic-based ordinary hybrids (never oil-derived blacks).
For shading and pixels, we use long taper the most, and for in-between lashes, medium taper.
